Alive & Kicking currently operates two workshops in Africa, one in Nairobi, Kenya, and one in Lusaka, Zambia. You can find out more about each of these centres using the links below. Alive & Kicking aims is to provide quality leather balls across Africa, and in that pursuit we hope to open a new centre in West Africa soon.
Our Kenyan stitching centre was opened in 2004, reaching financial sustainability in 2006. It has produced balls for UEFA, United Against Malaria and many other partners.
Our Zambian stitching centre opened in 2007, and reached financial sustainability in 2010. It is one of the only enterprises in Zambia to employ deaf and disabled people.
Alive & Kicking jobs are in areas of high unemployment, and enable stitchers to support themselves and their extended families.
Alive & Kicking's health programme uses sport as a catalyst to increase young people's awareness of disease.
Alive & Kicking's partners are key to the success of our work. They include UEFA, Zambeef and Tackle Africa.
