Alive & Kicking’s Rugby Initiative aims to grow the game in Africa through the provision of locally made balls to disadvantaged communities in Kenya, Namibia and South Africa. Led by Alive & Kicking’s special rugby adviser, Crispin Simon, the initiative will give children the chance to play with a real ball, many for the first time, it will create valuable and sustainable jobs in Nairobi, and will help grow the game of Rugby in a continent that is starting to embrace the sport.
We are partnering with socially responsible companies in this initiative, and the first of these will appear on this site in the coming months. You can help us reach our target by donating a ball yourself
Our Rugby Initaitve is still in its early stages and we are on the look out for organisations or individuals that would like to partner with us. Please get in contact if you want to help us to provide locally produced rugby balls for children in African countries.

Buying a rugby ball for yourself or a friend supports the employment of 150 people in Kenya. Our balls have been commended for their grip by a professional player.
Help us reach our target of distributing 4,000 rugby balls by the end of 2012.
